Our Story

We met in college...

We met in College

Rutgers University. The very same that Alex's parents met + fell in love as well. There is good history in that campus.

Shawn + Alex had taken an Acting + Directing class together. Shawn had decided one day to ask the prettiest girl in that class out on a date. Her long thick hair is what he noticed first followed by her bright green eyes and her charming smile. Her laugh was not only loud + unique, but contagious + engaging.

He knew she was the one before he knew what The One met.

In true nerdy style he asked for her email address too nervous about being forward to ask for her digits.

Without a moment's hesitation, Alex looked at this ruggedly handsome stranger, smiled + asked for his in exchange.

Their first date, Shawn came to Alex's family home where he met her parents (as were the rules of the house before he was to take her anywhere) + gave her two roses. One real blooming deep red rose, + one red silk rose.

The line was, "This one's for now," handing her the real rose. "And this one is forever."

Alex laughed her contagious laugh and took her flowers, which are still sitting in her room as a reminder of where they started ❤
