Sometimes you just need to reflect and remember... look back.

It has been 90 Days since we said 'I Do'... 3 months tomorrow.

There have been a lot of new experiences, moving in together, laundry, grocery shopping, cooking... pretty much everything a college student is supposed to learn on their own.

I did not move out from my childhood home with my family until I moved in with my new husband and started a new family.

Married life is beautiful, cozy, sweet... but it can be challenging, too. When you live together there are not a lot of places to go... especially when you need to be alone. That's okay, you learn, you adapt... you forgive much sooner.

Balancing a life and work, however, has been more challenging. Get up at 5:30 am, leave by 6:20 (at the latest)...  After driving an hour and ten minutes in traffic, 140 miles every single day, dealing with children and people that forget you're a person, and coming home to quiet is nice...

Until you remember everything else you have to do: Clean up, Mail, pick up packages, cook dinner, try to mentally turn off from work... by then the hubby gets home, eats dinner, maybe watches an episode on netflix and gets to editing our other job, Sweet Start.

The next day start over...

Sound a little mundane...

Which is why, for my husband's birthday, on a whim, I booked tickets for Hawai'i to reconnect and take a break from everything. Still we edited weddings, but this time it was a little more relaxed... You know, take a sunrise walk, eat breakfast, edit a little, go to the beach, edit a little more, watch the sunset... dinner... just... yeah.

It was amazing. It was a mini-honeymoon since ours was so short, (3 days) and still stressful...

It was really nice to get away at a time when we didn't have anymore wedding stress, thank you cards, moving in, settling in, learning everything from scratch. Definitely worth the 10 hour flight back to Hawai'i.

I still want to make our time at home special... somehow I need to bring a little Hawai'i in to our home and keep that relaxed romance strong... instead of stressing over getting all these weddings out and done.

You know what's nice about editing these weddings though? You get to relive that day... reflect on our couple's love for each other... watch their story come to life... gives you butterflies all over again.

Anyway, I think adventures are definitely a must for us and our relationship. There's nothing like going back to where you've been married... or going somewhere completely new and experiencing an exciting adventure that neither of you have ever encountered before.

I'm already planning our next one... I just need to get that passport updated!

Love,
Mrs. Caple
